A Nice Surprise

I was just about to throw out the box Astrid's new body came in and I found another little package inside with the word "hands" written on it. Turns out the body I bought came with an extra pair of hands! I thought I saw mention of this on the sales post but thought it must have meant they were selling them separately or something.

Anyway they were included and the even better thing, they are a perfect match for Tindra! She needed new hands, the ones she came with were a slightly different colour. So it was one of the things on my dolly shopping list to try and find some older hands for her. These new hands are the older resin colour, not too peachy more creamy and they are the original Lishe hands with the pinkie of doom, I couldn't be happier!!!!!

Astrid's New Body

Astrid's new body arrived today, yay!! The resin match is perfect. I love the hands on it too. It was originally a Miyu body so they have lovely straight, spread out fingers on one hand and a cute little pointing finger on the other hand.

I'm really glad I bought it now, it was a very spontaneous purchase but it was such a good price I would have been crazy not to buy it. Then I was concerned about the resins not matching, Luts is well known for their resin batches being different shades. But the match is perfect, I'm so happy with it.

So now we are a doll family of nine!

Dollightful

Seeing as I am going to be out of action in a couple of weeks time due to a new arrival I decided to do a bit of shopping now.

Firstly, I very unexpectedly bought another Luts mature body for either my Juri or Soo head (just depends on which resin matches the best). She was on sale on the Angels Australis website. At a really good price and in Australia too which meant postage would be much cheaper than if buying from overseas. I had always wanted to get another body for my little Soo and especially after having a play with her last week. I never think of a doll as finished or complete until they have their own body. You can't really call just a head a doll and I hate swapping bodies around all the time and having extra heads in the cupboard. So that is purchase number 1.

Then I was browsing through the DOA marketplace (a very dangerous pastime I might add) last night and I found this gorgeous Luts outfit for sale.

It was one that I wanted to purchase ages ago but then Luts took it off their website. I think it will look gorgeous on Angelique or Lulu and I already have the cute boots like in the picture so it will look beautiful. So that was purchase number 2.

I have been trying to find the right outfit for Freya ever since I bought her early last year. I have bought probably four little ensembles for her so far and none of them have looked right. I always loved this outfit on Lyssa's Soo, Miss Lily Pearl:

It's made by Vitta Vera. So I emailed Akiko at Vitta Vera last night to see if she could make another one like it and she replied today and yes, she could make another one. So that is purchase number 3. Even if it doesn't suit Freya I'm sure one of my other girls will wear it and it has always been a favorite of mine. I just love the baby pink and black together.

Well it wouldn't look complete without that cute little pink ringlet wig so that is purchase number 4. It's not exactly the same wig unfortunately because they don't make that one in pink anymore, damn shame too. So this is the one I will be getting:

The ringlets aren't quite as tight, but it's still super cute! I also bought some other wigs from Cancan at the same time. The black one will go with the new Luts outfit and the two brownish ones are for the Unoa sisters.

To complete the outfit we need shoes of course and I found these in the DOA marketplace a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with them but thought no, I don't have anything they will go with. Different story now :o) So they are purchase number 5.

So as you can see I have had a dollightful time shopping. I think a dolly diet is really overdue now, but we all know how hopeless I am with diets ;o)

Cherry Dress

I bought a lovely dress from Shellie aka doughgiirl on DOA. It is so sweet and fit's like a dream.

Of course Lulu demanded that it was hers as soon as it arrived ;o)

Tindra got a new dress in the mail yesterday. It can be worn as a dress or a long top, I love it with jeans!

Tindra is so lovely to photograph, she really comes to life.

Goodbye Tatiana

Well she has sold. My beautiful VDES, I hated to do it but I had to do it. I sold her on eBay last night. She is going to a good home where she will be loved. I am glad I didn't have to split her up, this way she'll stay as she is, complete with wig, eyes and dress. She is all packed up and ready to go.

Tindra's Arrival

She's here, she's here, she's here!!!

I can't contain my excitement, I feel like a kid on Christmas morning :o) I'm also finding it hard to put it in to words just how much I love this new gal. She is absolutely stunning, she really took my breath away when I unpacked her and saw her beautiful face for the first time. I love, love, love her! She is even more amazing in real life than on the photos. To say I am happy with her is the biggest understatement in the whole universe, lol. She has stolen my heart and is definitely my favorite of all my big bjd's. I'm going to have so much fun with this one. Her cute little jeans arrived today, just in time for her arrival.

Tindra

How lucky am I? The stunning lady above is coming to live with me and my doll family. A big than you to Susan on DOA for contacting me. I first saw Tindra on Tuesday morning (morning ritual of checking emails, blogs, eBay and DOA, lol), I thought wow I have always wanted a sexy Lishe like that.

I PM'd Susan about some clothes she had for sale and when she got back to me Tindra had been sold. I was disappointed, I was going to message her about Tindra but I was too late. Not meant to be I thought. Anyway when I spoke to Susan about the clothes I just happened to say if the sale for Tindra should fall through let me know.

Well the next morning (my birthday) checking emails etc and there was one from Susan, to my absolute amazement the person had backed out of the sale. She was all mine if I wanted her! Did I ever!!!! Now if that isn't fate then I don't know what is.

Isn't she incredible. I have always loved the Lishe sculpt. I think she would have to be the most classically beautiful out of all the CP dolls. She seems to adapt to so many different looks. I mean, my Lishe - Angelique looks so different to Tindra and yet they are the same mold. Ohh I am so excited to get this girl :o)

I think I will keep her name as Tindra, it really suits her. I will have to ask Susan if she knows what it means, failing that I will ask Mia K as that was who originally owned Tindra. Very small world in the dolly community :o)

My Brown Eyed Girl

Just a quick post. I bought some new brown glass eyes off eBay and they arrived today. I've always wanted to get brown eyes for Lulu. I think they really suit her.

Soo

So in my endless search for a Soo head I think I may have found one. A very nice person on DOA pm'ed me with this little sweetheart.

She is just so darn cute and she reminds me of both my daughters so much!! I was intending on buying a Soo head with the intention of getting it's face up redone to look more like Miss Lily Pearl (red lips, dark eyes and thick lashes) but I don't know if I could changed this little ones face, she is just so adorable.
