October Photo Challenge 2012 ~ Halloween
Ooops a day late, never mind ;o)
This is Boo my Halloween Kuroo hoping you all had a great Halloween. We went to aussiedolls house for some spooky fun. I made a brain cake for the occasion. Red Velvet on the inside with cream cheese frosting, pink fondant and strawberry "blood" sauce. Yummy!
In keeping with the spooky theme I went to a "meet the spirits of Kalamunda Hotel" night at the start of the week. It is an old pub renowned for its ghostly residents. It was hosted by author Barbara Parks. Although I didn't get any personal messages it was still an interesting night. A guy a few seats down from me took this amazing shot of orbs that were behind where I was sitting.
In other non spooky news, we got a new kitty!! Adopted through Instagram would you believe!! I've always wanted a white cat with one blue eye and one green eye ever since I can remember. When I started doing that 20 day cleaning challenge a few weeks back (remember all my boring cleaning photos Instagram peeps lol) I met a fellow cleaning challenge lady quite randomly, she liked one of my pics, added me, I added her. I was looking through her Instgram pics and there was one of two kittens, one white and one ginger, they were brothers. I commented how I've always wanted a white kitty with eyes like that and she said they are my foster babies and it went from there. However he was on the other side of Australia to me. Thankfully I have the most amazingly kind and patient husband and we were able to adopt him and fly him over to us. He is an amazing little man, very friendly and affectionate. The first night we got him home, after only being at our house probably an hour he was curled by my side in bed purring loudly. I just love him to bits. We've called him Merlin and what a magical little fellow he is and I feel very lucky to have him in my life <3
In doll news, I ordered a little Fabric Tiny Delf. Didn't plan to, can't even remember what lead me to the Luts site in the first place! Anyway she has a very sweet face, and a cute witchy outfit and I like the idea of the cloth body.

I have to say, your little Merlin is just as lucky to have you as you are to have him! What a wonderful thing you did. Not many people would fly an animal across the country to adopt them. It would just be all too hard! I think you're amazing!
ReplyDeletePS Your cake was awesome and your new doll is so sweet :-)
