Oh my Lordy how true is that saying!!

Have a look at this little lady -

I have found my Honey.

Who is Honey you may ask? Well, when I bought Poppy (Pinky White Narae) I hoped that one day she might have a sister called Honey and preferably a Tanning Classic Narae. Well the Narae in the pic above is Tanning but she is an Open Eye not Classic, but hey who cares, look at her she is beautiful and she is the lovely creamy "older" Tanning resin colour.

So what sparked this sudden purchase. I found a Golden Beige Narae for sale on DOA at the end of last week I think it was. I was very tempted, she was lovely but I just wasn't sure about the Golden Beige resin, it's nice but looks a little yellow. Plus, I always had my heart set on Tanning. Anyway so I started reading the Narae thread and then noticed that Narindoll have changed their Tanning resin colour. It used to be a natural flesh tone colour and it seems now it is darker and has more of a greyish undertone. I was disappointed, I was planning on ordering a brand new doll from Dollfair at some stage, but the new resin turned me off.

So I thought maybe Golden Beige would be okay and of course by the time I decided this she had already sold.

So, that brings us to today. I decided that I would put a WTB in the marketplace for an older tanning Narae, classic or open eye. Before I was about to do this I thought I'll just have a quick check of the marketplace to see if there are any other naraes that have come up for sale. That's when I saw her!! I couldn't believe my eyes, swazini (Susan) was selling her beautiful tanning narae called Manon. I quickly sent a pm, but I was sure she was going to be sold already. To my surprise she hadn't sold!! Yay!! Thats karma for you :o))

Swazini (Susan) is who I bought the lovely Tindra from. Isn't that amazing. Susan, if you ever read this, I will take good care of your two girls I promise :o)

:: ATM ::

I got my Altelier Momoni order today in the mail. I ordered a little stripey top, black jeans, white ATM top and flared jeans. They are awesome clothes, I am soooooo happy with them. The attention to detail is just amazing. The jeans have real pockets and a little tab on the back pocket just like the real thing. The stitching is so well done and absolutely perfect. And the most important bit, they fit like a dream.

I haven't had a chance to take any photos yet and I'm still waiting on face ups for my girls so I'll wait until the are "complete" before we start taking any snaps. Below are a few pics from Lola's website of what I ordered.

Shoes To Die For

Lulu's new shoes came this week. Aren't they gorgeous. I'm loving this girl more and more.

A Nice Surprise

I was just about to throw out the box Astrid's new body came in and I found another little package inside with the word "hands" written on it. Turns out the body I bought came with an extra pair of hands! I thought I saw mention of this on the sales post but thought it must have meant they were selling them separately or something.

Anyway they were included and the even better thing, they are a perfect match for Tindra! She needed new hands, the ones she came with were a slightly different colour. So it was one of the things on my dolly shopping list to try and find some older hands for her. These new hands are the older resin colour, not too peachy more creamy and they are the original Lishe hands with the pinkie of doom, I couldn't be happier!!!!!

Astrid's New Body

Astrid's new body arrived today, yay!! The resin match is perfect. I love the hands on it too. It was originally a Miyu body so they have lovely straight, spread out fingers on one hand and a cute little pointing finger on the other hand.

I'm really glad I bought it now, it was a very spontaneous purchase but it was such a good price I would have been crazy not to buy it. Then I was concerned about the resins not matching, Luts is well known for their resin batches being different shades. But the match is perfect, I'm so happy with it.

So now we are a doll family of nine!

Unoa Love

Well I now have both little unoas assembled. I got stuck into sanding my Lusis on Sunday, had her coated with my last bit of MSC on Monday and finally put together today.


I felt a lot more confident sanding and putting her together this time around, having practised on my Sist.


They look so cute together. I can't wait to get their face ups done now.


I'm still deciding on names for them. I really like Cherry and Blossom, but feel that it's a bit too cheesey. Then my friend suggested Sakura which means cherry blossom in Japanese, I think that would suit the Lusis. Then I found the name Yuri which means Lily in Japanese and that would suit the Sist. So it could be Sakura and Yuri but I still won't know for sure until they have their face ups.

It's as hard as naming children!

Dollightful

Seeing as I am going to be out of action in a couple of weeks time due to a new arrival I decided to do a bit of shopping now.

Firstly, I very unexpectedly bought another Luts mature body for either my Juri or Soo head (just depends on which resin matches the best). She was on sale on the Angels Australis website. At a really good price and in Australia too which meant postage would be much cheaper than if buying from overseas. I had always wanted to get another body for my little Soo and especially after having a play with her last week. I never think of a doll as finished or complete until they have their own body. You can't really call just a head a doll and I hate swapping bodies around all the time and having extra heads in the cupboard. So that is purchase number 1.

Then I was browsing through the DOA marketplace (a very dangerous pastime I might add) last night and I found this gorgeous Luts outfit for sale.

It was one that I wanted to purchase ages ago but then Luts took it off their website. I think it will look gorgeous on Angelique or Lulu and I already have the cute boots like in the picture so it will look beautiful. So that was purchase number 2.

I have been trying to find the right outfit for Freya ever since I bought her early last year. I have bought probably four little ensembles for her so far and none of them have looked right. I always loved this outfit on Lyssa's Soo, Miss Lily Pearl:

It's made by Vitta Vera. So I emailed Akiko at Vitta Vera last night to see if she could make another one like it and she replied today and yes, she could make another one. So that is purchase number 3. Even if it doesn't suit Freya I'm sure one of my other girls will wear it and it has always been a favorite of mine. I just love the baby pink and black together.

Well it wouldn't look complete without that cute little pink ringlet wig so that is purchase number 4. It's not exactly the same wig unfortunately because they don't make that one in pink anymore, damn shame too. So this is the one I will be getting:

The ringlets aren't quite as tight, but it's still super cute! I also bought some other wigs from Cancan at the same time. The black one will go with the new Luts outfit and the two brownish ones are for the Unoa sisters.

To complete the outfit we need shoes of course and I found these in the DOA marketplace a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with them but thought no, I don't have anything they will go with. Different story now :o) So they are purchase number 5.

So as you can see I have had a dollightful time shopping. I think a dolly diet is really overdue now, but we all know how hopeless I am with diets ;o)

Suki Time

Well she hasn't had any photo time or attention since she arrived many months ago. And those big doe eyes just begged me to get her dressed up and to have a play outside on the new dolly couch :o)

Unoa Sist Assembly ~ Stage 2 & 3

Yay! I got my Unoa Sist put together today. Nice warm weather, perfect for coating with MSC. All strung up today. It wasn't too hard either, no translation necessary!


Lot's of pics because I wanted to show all aspects of her creation :o) The first lot show when I sprayed her. We had a little body shop going on in the laundry.

The second lot of pics show the stringing together. All systems go, everything laid out and ready for assembly.

Almost done. The final thing to do is to pop the little back piece in and of course the face plate on.
